Terms & Conditions

Booking Policies for Independent Travelers

The Kudanil Explorer luxury cruise ship has a limited capacity compared to other expedition cruises or luxury resorts. Guests are advised to book early, particularly if travel dates are inflexible. Bookings are typically made 10 to 18 months in advance, though we strive to accommodate preferred cruise dates. A deposit is required to secure a booking, which is transferable at the time of booking.

By making a deposit, guests confirm their full understanding and acceptance of all terms and conditions outlined herein.

Inclusive and Exclusive

Kudanil Explorer trips are primarily all-inclusive, with specific inclusions varying based on the trip type (e.g., surf, dive, or other expeditions) as detailed in the trip invoice and email communications.

Not Included:

  • Alcoholic beverages and spa treatments, which incur additional charges.
  • Prior to disembarkation at the end of the Charter Period, the Cruise Director will provide a detailed account of expenditures, including as many supporting receipts as possible. The guest is responsible for settling the balance of these expenses.

Reservations & Payments

A 50% deposit is required at the time of reservation. The remaining balance is due 120 days prior to departure.

Cancellation Policy

All payments are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation by the Charterer, all payments made up to the date of cancellation will be forfeited as the cancellation penalty.

Departure Date Change Policy

Guests may change their cruise departure date without penalty if the change is made at least 180 days prior to the original departure date. For changes made between 179 and 90 days prior to departure, a fee of USD$400.00 per person applies. No date changes are permitted within 89 days or less prior to departure.

Medical and Health

Guests should be in good physical health to fully enjoy their cruise experience. Exploring involves the use of small, motorized tenders, which may include wet landings. Daily excursions may involve walking on uneven terrain and require physical effort to board and disembark tenders. Walking excursions may last up to one hour. Malaria and Dengue prophylaxis vaccines are not required for travelers to Indonesia but should be considered in consultation with a personal physician.

Insurance

Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase trip cancellation insurance to cover non-refundable expenses, such as air tickets. International medical, baggage loss, and delay insurance are also recommended. The Kudanil Explorer is not liable for lost or stolen personal belongings.

Dietary Needs

Guests must inform the Kudanil Explorer of specific dietary needs at least 30 days prior to embarkation. Every effort will be made to accommodate special dietary requests, subject to product availability.

Traveler Responsibilities

Guests are expected to uphold respectful and appropriate behavior toward fellow passengers and the Kudanil Explorer crew. This includes adhering to normal social conduct, following all safety requirements during onboard activities and excursions, and treating crew members and fellow travelers with respect.
