Booking Policies for Independent Travelers
One defining advantage of the Kudanil Explorer luxury cruise ship is the small capacity compared with other expedition cruises or luxury resort. Thus we recommend our guests book early, especially if your desired travel dates are not flexible. People typically book their Kudanil Explorer expeditions cruise at least 10 to 18 months in advance, however we will always do our best to accommodate your desired cruise dates. To secure a booking aboard the Kudanil Explorer, a deposit is required. The deposit is transferable at the time of booking.
When the guest makes a deposit to secure the booking, they guarantee their full knowledge and acceptance of all the terms and conditions.
Inclusive and Exclusive
Kudanil Explorer trips are mostly all-inclusive, the exact inclusions depend on the nature of your trip (whether it is a surf, dive or any other kind of expedition) and are as outlined in the trip invoice and as communicated via email.
Not included:
Alcoholic beverages and spa treatments come at additional charge. Prior to disembarkation at the end of the Charter Period, the Cruise Director shall present to the Guest a detailed account of expenditure, with as many supporting receipts as possible, and the Guest shall pay to the Cruise Director the balance of the expenses.
RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS
A deposit of 50% will be required at the time of reservation. The remaining is payable 120 days prior to departure.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All payments are non-refundable. In case of a cancellation by the Charterer, the Charterer will lose all made payments until the day of cancellation as the cancellation penalty.
DEPARTURE DATE CHANGE POLICY
The Kudanil Explorer permits guests to change the departure date of their cruise within 180 days prior to their original date without penalty. Date changes made between 179 and 90 days prior departure, please note a fee of USD$400.00 per person applies. No date changes are permitted within 89 days or less prior to departure.
MEDICAL AND HEALTH
Guests should be in good physical health in order to be able to make the most of their cruise. Exploring the area involves the use of small, motorized tenders and at times may include some wet landings. Daily excursions may include walking on irregular terrain, and getting in and out of the tenders occasionally requires some physical effort. Walking excursions may last up to one hour. Malaria and Dengue prophylaxis’s vaccines are not required for Indonesia bound travelers coming into the region, but should be considered under the advice of your personal doctor.
INSURANCE
Travelers are strongly advised to purchase trip cancellation insurance, which will reimburse the cost of air tickets and other non-refundable trip payments. International medical, baggage loss, and delay insurance are also recommended. The Kudanil Explorer assumes no liability for lost or stolen personal belongings.
VESSEL REPLACEMENT
The Kudanil Explorer reserves the right to substitute another vessel for the Kudanil Explorer if considered necessary (i.e. force majeure or mechanical failure). If the travelers do not take this option the Kudanil Explorer reserves the right to cancel the trip upon a refund pro rata per cruise night not used or, as an alternative, will offer credit toward a future cruise on the Kudanil Explorer.
DIETARY NEEDS
The Kudanil Explorer should be contacted at least 30 days prior to embarkation regarding travelers’ specific dietary needs. Every effort will be made to cater to special dietary needs, and to accommodate special requests, subject to a given product’s availability.
TRAVELER RESPONSIBILITIES
Travelers have responsibilities toward both their fellow passengers and the Kudanil Explorers’ crew. Every passenger should follow normal social behavior patterns with fellow passengers, observe all safety requirements on board and on excursions, and act in an appropriate and respectful manner toward the crew members and their fellow travelers.
